FAQ

How do I book?

Contact us with an initial enquiry providing the boat(s) you are interested in, dates and locations you would like to sail. We will then follow up with you to confirm availability and discuss specific requirements for your charter. Of course, call us with any questions and to discuss any aspects of your charter. We are all experienced sailors and can help you plan your sailing!

Can I charter the boat for longer?

Boats are available by day/week, as noted. If you would like to discuss a charter for a longer period (even the entire season), please call us.

Will I receive a safety briefing?

Safety is obviously of primary importance – both for you and your crew, other people on and off the water, and the boats themselves. We include in your agreement a basic safety briefing note with summary ‘Dos and Don’ts’, but it is your responsibility to operate within a safe environment and to ensure that everyone involved is also. We can provide life jackets/buoyancy aids, radios and other safety equipment as needed. We can also arrange for a member of our professional sailing team to support you and your crews to the level you prefer – we want you to feel safe and enjoy being on our boats!

Can I hire a support crew?

We can provide as much crew support as you would like – from a few hours briefing to sailing support for your entire charter. Our Classic Racing Yachts charter fees include 1-2 professional crew members who know the boats and can provide the knowledge and
experience to help make sure everything goes smoothly. We can arrange sailing events, family or team racing days, corporate team building or most other constructs that you might imagine! Please contact us to discuss with our knowledgeable team.

Where are you based?

We are based on the south coast of England and all boats are available from there. We can of course, deliver and commission them to anywhere you need them. Whether you
want to race in a (classic) regatta or cruise, we can help make that happen and where possible, will help arrange moorings for you for the period of your charter. Please contact us to discuss your needs and rates.

What type of support boats do you offer?

We have a number of powered RIBs that are appropriate support boats for your classic boat charter. These can provide help in getting out onto the water, a base for team members between events and also to carry everything from food and drink to extra toys. Of course,
their main function is safety! Please contact us to discuss specific needs. Note that the
support boats are only available as part of a classic boat charter.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

We require a security deposit for all charters – this will be returned to you when the
boat/s is/are back with us less a deduction for any damage repair or other costs we incur as a result of your charter.

What are the insurance/liability terms?

All of our beautiful boats are insured against any liability and damage. We will provide you with specifics as part of your charter agreement.
